Peace be upon all of you.
Updates on what has been happening for the past two to three weeks.
Archers' Ready! Live at DXO
I went to DXO with Adam (Piperdy) and Sarah last weekend. It was good although we only saww two and a half bands performing. The first band who performed was made up of Mats singing covers that sound really amateur. The second was Ivy's Vendetta. They are ****ing awesome!!! And I'll give you reasons why they were good.
1. They write their own songs.
2. The vocalist sounds like Lifehouse vocalist but better
3. Their songs are very mature and upbeat
4. They are not bloody mats
5. THE VOCALIST IS BLOODY CUTE AND HANDSOME
Ummm.. did I just say that? Heh. Go to www.myspace.com/ivysvendetta for more info.
Anyway, Archers Ready! did a great set at DXO. It was so far their best performance, though Anthony claims they screwed up some parts. I'm really proud of them. They modified the older songs and now they sound really matured and in tune. Sarah fell in love with Sally. ZY and me were happily dancing to Agenda: Kill You. Haha. It was awesome. Mainly because we had the entire dance floor to ourselves and there weren't any mats around. Woohoo. I'm not too sure if I can publicize their Myspace account here. Will put it up once Anthony aka the big man approves. Haha.
Pre- U Seminar Paperless Report
It was this stupid thing that kept be held back in school till night. It's bad enough having someone who keeps giving empty promises on her part as a team member. Lucky thing Azy and Patrick kept me company if not I would have gone berzerk, I tell you. We did the video in like 4 hours. Miss Yasmin says it's a job well done despite the short notice but me being a perfectionist, beg to differ. I thought it wasn't good enough. But hey, when authority says it's cool, it's cool babeh!
Blood Donation
Ahh yes. I donated blood for the first time in my entire seventeen years of life. I am so proud of myself. I was worried I'll get disqualified cause my throat was itching like hell and I felt like coughing. But in the end, I passed through the tests. The questionaire was bizarre, I tell you. They asked questions like 'when was your last sexual activity' and 'did you have sex with multiple partners in the last one week.' I was partly offended by questions but I guess they needed to know. Not all JC students are innocent, you know.
Then the nurse checked my right arm to look for the vein. She felt my arm after putting on the blood pressure thingy and said 'Eh girl, you right vein too big lah. Give me your other arm.' She said it so loudly that everyone there could hear and they were laughing at me. Probably because the norm was that the vein might be too small, but mine was too big. It is kinda funny. Haha
Came the time to insert the needle. I swear I thought it'll hurt bad. Turns out to be, I didn't feel a thing at all. I was talking to Li Wen who was across me and suddenly I turn to the nurse and I saw that blood was already flowing into the blood bag. I yakked and yakked to Li Wen and then I was done.
A female nurse was supposed to bandage my arm but there was this Malay mat looking nurse who came to do the bandaging instead. He took a plain looking bandage then I told him in my sweetest voice I wanted a pink one. Everyone there was laughing again. Why do Meridians find me so amusing? He kept talking and talking to me while bandaging my arm and I could so tell he was flirting. Then he told me to eat and have a drink first before I go off. So concerned, ah? Should award him some GEMS thingy...
Aight. I'll update as soon as I have things to blog about. Plus the picture of me donating blood. Oh, did I mention I got a laptop from daddy? *smiles really wide*
Happy birthday to Ayah and Ajo! The only two men in my life. Well, not really...
