Salam.

A lot has happened ever since I MIA-ed from this blog of mine. And I really mean alot. Too much for me to blog about right now.

Anyway, I'm having my Pidato Competition on Friday, from 1430 to 1730 hrs at Tampines Junior College. I'm excited and scared. Excited cause I've not been participating in Malay competitions for quite a long time. Scared because the mats might be coming. Bleargh.

You know, fate is not for us to decide. That's what I've learnt. Leave everything to Allah and life will be okay.

Keep holding on and just stay strong, aight?

Anyway, my sister gave birth early this morning. To a girl. Yay. I so can't wait to meet my new niece.

Salaam.

The holidays were BORING for me. I stayed home, watched Prison Break Season 2 and made a new template for my blog. For no apparent reason, the entries simply refuse to appear. Bleargh. So if you guys are reading an entry-less blog, I'm so sorry. I'm not so much of a HTML freak.

Hanging Out

Saturday, March 10, 2007

I have always been cool about hanging out with guys but I usually hang out with my Chinese guy friends. So it was a bit weird yesterday when I hung out with Faizal, Shafiq FMSA, Zul and Farhan. SUPER DEE DUPER WEIRD. But it was fun of course. I thought I would be hanging out with only Faizal and Shafiq but when I went to meet them, suddenly I saw two extra people next to them. And that was how I made friends with Farhan and Zul.
We went to eat at Ramen Ten at Far East Plaza. I've been wanting to eat there since Ramadhan last year but never I was so smart that I didn't reserve any table. So I finally ate at the Japanese Restaurant yesterday. I had Teriyaki Ramen Chicken. It was good. Zul joined us abit later cause he had to settle some things at home. So when Zul was looking at the menu, he got a culture shock. Everything on the menu looked foreign to him. That was until Farhan introduced the menu to him just like how the waitress did. It was hilarious, I tell you. He could have secured a job for him.
Then we went around town and dropped by Esplanade cause I wanted to check out the Mosaic Music Festival. Guess who I met there? My darling Miss Esther Lee. Her hair was super cool and she put on braces as well. We chatted for bit then she had to go back to work.
You know the thing about hanging out with the different gender is? You're not as crazy as you usually are. You tend to watch yourself a bit more. And you have to put up with the nonsensical things they talk about. Haha. But they are a fun crowd to hang out with. Too bad I can't do that too often now cause they have their A's and I need to be able to catch up with the workload. I seriously can't believe I'm in Meridian Junior College already. I know I've been telling people that but I still think I'm a kid.
Oh well. I have to grow up. I'm going to earn $15 000 soon, right TCB people? That will be the day I spend every single day at Vivocity and Wisma Atria. Haha. Of course I have to work even harder then
.
Schedule for this week:
Monday
Swimming
OGL Mass Dance training
Movie Marathon
Wednesday
Go Johor
Thursday
Dental Appointment
Pidato Workshop @ TPJC
Saturday
Malay Creative Writing Workshop @ MI
Watch Sasha Bach Band @ Esplanade
I'm gonna hate Monday and Saturday. FULL DAYS. By the way, I found something somewhere about me. And it is quite hilarious to me. Someone said they ditched me after taking the O level results cause I was too irritating but hello??? Are you like dillusional? I left on my own accord after the results to meet my sister.
Some people think they are so good at this lets-all-diss-someone-we-all-hate thing but in actual fact, they're not.
Anyway, I went canoeing with the As-Salaam people and of all people to bump into during the program was Mohksin. Apparently the program I went for just now was co-ordinated by Saff-Perdaus so it would have been obvious to me the Mohksin be there as well.
KPR tonight. Yayness. I miss my Ghufran people.

Retail Therapy

Wednesday, March 07, 2007

Peace be upon you.
I have been shopping a lot. And I really mean a lot. Last month was my birthday month so i received quite a lot of cash from my dad and sister including the O level results present. Guess how much I spent on clothes and food last month? After tallying everything up with the receipts, I spent a whopping $204.30. Yes. Don't ask where that 30 cents came from cause I don't know. If I had kept that money, I would have saved enough to go for that Cambodia trip by paying for myself! SHAM, YOU NEED TO START WAKING UP! Yes. I should. I wanna go there, so I'll pay for myself. I told Dad I'll pay 75% percent of it and he's contented enough.
So first day of school. The boring old stuff as usual. Admin. Welcoming speeches. Admin. Scholarship talk. Admin. Subject briefing. Admin. Appeals. OGL meeting. Admin.
It was like WORLD ADMINISTRATION DAY! And I was so bored that I slept through the subject briefing.
MJC says we have to choose our subjects by tonight. But the subject combination I want is not available. They have the subject combination I want except that they have English Literature in place of my beloved Malay Literature. So I had to go plead to that evil woman who spoke to me like I didn't deserve to be there in front of her to give my appeal a shot. I signed the green appeal form and let's just pray I'll get it. Oh ya, I also got Cikgu Halimah to appeal for me if I don't get it. She's such a sweetie.
The whole of 07A301 is like mad at me cause I'm changing combination. Sorry babes but I really cannot tahan H1 Maths. It's like I can just die and decay in the lecture theatre if I stay any longer. But hey, I'm still in MJC right? And Econs? Woah.... CANNOT ANGKAT. So this is my subject combination if the appeal is approved:
H2 History
H2 Malay Language and Literature
H2 Mathematics
H1 Economics
H1 General Paper
H1 Malay Language
The good thing is, I don't need to go for H1 Malay until September before the exams so that I get used to the format and all that shit. And yeah. I love Malay Literature so be it! HAHA. I'm so rambling nonsense here. Like why do you guys need to know anyway?
Speaking of guys, they are all the same in MJC. Nopes. There goes my dream of finding a hot guy to look at during recess or lunch. Sigh. BUT WADDAHECK. I still have my eye candy!!! Oh yah, I didn't know the cut off point for Meridian JC is 10 points. Like woah? Dude? Babes? What's happening? Thank Allah I went for first three months there!
So another short day tomorrow, but another day to people watch.
Salam alaik.
